(More customer reviews)Not a bad book at all, considering that fiction with Rochester is nearly non-existant! This one starts just after he has been sent to the Tower for the kidnapping of Ms. Mallet, and ends with his marriage and bedding. Most of it concerns his time at sea, with the romance aspects on land. It does show a relationship with King Charles II that is forgiving and kind. Better than the Green and the Gold by Christopher Peachment ISBN: 0312314507. "Young Rochester" is all Rochester - for the entire 239 pages! (Hardback Edition)
