(More customer reviews)In the ever expanding world of zombie literature, I felt that this was sort of middle of the road. I got it as a gift, and while I enjoyed it a lot more than Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Classic Regency Romance - Now with Ultraviolent Zombie Mayhem!, it was nowhere near as good as World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. Still, it's filled with relatively quick takes on classic novels and has a funny and irreverent vibe to it. Zombie purists may wish to note that it also has vampire and werewolf tales in it, but this didn't bother me and the majority of tales are zombie related.
In fairness to the author, she seems to really know her literature and does a good job of basically rewriting the stories by adding undead and then adding a snarky, english-lit style, deconstruction of the stories she just rewrote.
