This gives you an account of how life was in that area, particularly for minorities of Cape Verdean descendants. Eventually the American born generations discover their roots by visiting Cape Verde the country of their ancestor's. In the process of re-discovering their migratory path, they found out their relations to Amilcar Cabral, the Cape Verdean hero. Ths is a nice and easy read. It is interesting to see an account of Cape Verde by a Cape Verdean American... Highly recommended
