As a long time Fry Glass collector, I find this publication invaluable and a must have for ANY Glass collector. The information contained within about Foval/Pearl Art Glass is great in detail and the pictures vivid and clear. Includes stunning full color, glossy pictures! Smaller in size (about 6 inch by 9 inch) and spiral bound. High quality paper, cover and photo cards. Worth every penny in my opinion.
NOTE: My book is a 28 page book with 3 additional glossy photos cards but only 12 of the pages are numbered (the photo pages are not numbered.) In addition to these 30 or so pages, there is also the rare Fry's Art glass Catalog No. 12 (an additional 18 pages) attached to the inside back cover which in itself is invaluable as it contains information about the Foval produced in each set, prices, etc.
Time and time again, I find myself going through this book to verify pieces I find and frankly to look through the gorgeous photographs and history.
Other Fry Glass books I recommend to compliment this publication in your quest for more information (most were found here on amazon or ordered directly from the society who published them):
* Fry Insights by James R. Lafferty, Sr. (Out of Print, purchased from 3rd parties) A must have containing reprints of Various Hard to Find Fry Glass Catalogs including Catalogs 10 (19 pages of Glassware: Cut, Etched, etc) Catalog 9 (34 Page, Fry Oven Glass & Tea Sets) and also Catalog 12 (I believe from the description page but this is a guess as that section is not labeled as to which cataloged - pages are also not numbered with about 9 pages full of Fry Stemware and colored glass information)
* H.C. Fry in the 1920's: Oven Ware, Art Glass & More, 1917-1933. Monograph Number 86. Reprinted by West Virginia Museum of American Glass, Ltd. ( can be ordered directly from them) 75 pages full of information such as history about H.C. Fry and his company/glass, advertisements from that time, newspaper reviews, and from various catalogs.
* Cut Glass Catalogues of the H.C. Fry Glass Company (published and can be ordered directly from the "H.C. Fry Glass Society" in Beaver, PA) VERY thick publication with much of the American Brilliant Glass/Cut Glass. Invaluable!
* And last but not least, The Collector's Encyclopedia of Fry Glassware also published and can be ordered directly from the "H.C. Fry Glass Society" Can sometimes be found here on Amazon through 3rd parties. 200+ pages, large hard cover book filled with tons of history, information and gorgeous photographs.
